“Hard to find and lucky to have!”
My name is Cristina Trifan and I am the president of the Cezar Trifan Children’s Foundation. Named after my son, the foundation aims to support the charitable activity regarding children with special needs for the continuity of the therapies, in order to help them recover through projects that meet my humanitarian,Psychopedagogy and artistic interests.
Like the 4-leaf clover whose image serves as our logo, Cezar suffers from a rare genetic mutation in his DNA, being diagnosed with Costello Syndrome. This syndrome is a medical disorder that affects many parts of his body, multiple congenital anomalies and mental retardation. Curative treatments for this condition do not exist. The degeneration associated with this syndrome can be ameliorated by permanent referral to neuro-psycho-motor recovery therapies, and the quality of life can be improved through love and beauty. Community and art. This is where alternative, complementary and integrative therapies come in, joining in the development of children with special needs.
We dedicate ourselves into helping children in need and we are waiting for the Costello families in Romania to reach out.
